About

The Full Story

I’m a seasoned risk management leader with over 15 years of experience in non-financial risk, business continuity, crisis management, and incident response. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with some of the largest and most regulated financial institutions, where I’ve specialized in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across enterprise functions to ensure organizational resilience. I’m passionate about developing and implementing risk management frameworks and building resilient organizations.

I also value thought leadership in the industry and I regularly contribute to publications and actively participate in professional organizations like the Business Continuity Institute and the Business Resiliency Professionals Association. I hold a Master of Science in Threat & Response Management from The University of Chicago and have attained numerous professional certifications.

Beyond my professional life, I am deeply involved in volunteer work, serving on local school boards and participating in educational leadership roles. My passion for preparedness and resilience drives everything I do, both in my career and in my personal life. It is that passion that led me to create The Prepared Home.

I started The Prepared Home to freely share my knowledge and information. I know alot of families are concerned with planning and preparendess,  and I have spent hundred of hours reviewing products, creating plans, and considering solutions that fit into my life without being overly brudensome or intrusive and I hope that information can help others on their preparedness journey. The Prepared Home is not a business, but rather a personal endevaor.
